There was a power failure at LAX the other day (July 18th). Artie Lange (of the Howard Stern Show) happened to be flying to LAX at the time, and reports that his flight was diverted to Phoenix, where it spent FIVE HOURS on the tarmac before proceeding on to LA.

Can anyone recommend a good website or airline for cheap airfare from London to Amsterdam? I'll be travelling in the February/March timeframe. I've been told to check Ryanair, but it seems that they do not provide service between these two destinations.

I just received my newly renewed passport. I thought the US was going to issue biometric passports but if this one is biometric it's so subtle I can't find it. Doesn't it require an embedded chip of some kind? COme to think of it, they never asked for fingerprints or other
