TVs built in seats17 Jul 2006 00:13 GMT5
I am planning a trip, my schedule is flexible,  and have a nice choice of
airplanes I can go with. I remember a couple of years ago I was flying Air
France, and they had a nice small TV built in every seat (economy class). I
had 5 or so channels with latest movies. It was very nice. ...

Baggage forwarding from Heathrow?16 Jul 2006 15:13 GMT1
Arriving in Japan (where I live) with an armload of suitcases is a
doddle; you just go to the baggage forwarding counters, where, for a few
hundred yen apiece, they will relieve you of your bags and deliver them
wherever you choose at whatever time you choose. You can then ...

Orbitz low price guarantee VS price match15 Jul 2006 17:54 GMT1
There was a time when airline ticket sellers would match the
competitions advertised prices.  Recently shopped Orbitz for round
trip tickets and found their lowest tier of prices were $22.82 higher
than rival Cheapoair.

A Few Unexpected Experiences in Beijing15 Jul 2006 05:11 GMT105
Less than 24 hours ago, I was going through the security check

The first small surprise was that laptops were not asked to be
removed from the carry-on bag, when going through the X-ray
BA cancel scheduled flight - no compensation?!14 Jul 2006 22:40 GMT2
Several months ago we booked and paid for some flights for a family
holiday in Malta in October, via AirMiles (paid for part using Airmiles,
part in cash). We booked villa accomodation, and paid a substantial
deposit, at the same time.
Q re: stopovers & European A/L in US14 Jul 2006 20:45 GMT7
I know that non-US airlines cannot fly between US cities. I assume that
the only exception is when there's a stopover. For example, an Iberia
flight from SFO to MAD can go via ORD. Is this correct, or will the
SFO-ORD part have to be handled by an Iberia partner such as AA?

Baggage Surchage Scams on Gulf and Others14 Jul 2006 09:11 GMT1
Just returned from a trip BKK-FRA-BKK on Gulf AL.
While the outbound leg went without a hitch, on the return leg with the same
amont of luggage the German Gulf counter agent at FRA demanded some  550
euros for  overweight (1% or 1st class fare per kilo). This was more than
cheapseats.com and the AA.com Lowest Fare Guarantee14 Jul 2006 03:08 GMT5
I've found an American Airlines flight that I'd like to book that's
listed for less on cheapseats.com than on AA.com itself.  Can I safely
take advantage of the AA.com Lowest Fare Guarantee?  The fine print is
