I've got a bag, my one and only Samsonite hard-shell suitcase, that measures
about 63 inches total (w+h+d).
How "to the inch" are domestic (US) airlines when it comes to this? Are
check-in personnel likely to know what "average" means? Which airlines are

I'm curious about opinions -
I am a UAL premier executive (star alliance gold card thingy) but
haven't really flown United since having a pretty miserable transpacific
experience a couple years ago; all the miles come from partner flights.

Flying out from Heathrow next month and need a  room for one night.
I wondered if anyone here might have any recomendations?  Doesn't have to be
fancy, just clean and secure and ensuite.

If you could join just one airline's airport lounge program, which one
would it be? Mostly international travel, and I suppose comfort is most
critical in major hub cities.

July 31, 1969: The U.S. Civil Aeronautics Board turns down TWA's application
for air route to the moon.

So for the first time in a **long** time I've booked a short-haul flight
with BA from T4, departing Friday evening of the bank holiday weekend (!).
I intend to check in online and use the fast bag drop.  What kind of queues
can I expect around 1830 with (a) the bag drop and (b) ...

So, I'm in the phone queue now to BA reservations as BA Connect have,
predictably, pulled a load of services including BHX-BHD for which I had
bookings in October.
My preferred outcome would be for BA to rebook me on BE, who fly the same

Someone on this group used to or does travel this route on Lufthansa. I am
trying to establish how likely it is to miss the connection in FRA. I know it
is within the required minimum connection time but I am trying to work out how
reliable it is in practice.
