Why it is fair to profile Muslims, Arabs/Pakistanis27 Aug 2006 05:51 GMT4
Right now, most threat to air travelers comes from Muslims, but
everyone from Swedish grandmothers to Japanese monks is searched and
inconvenienced so the governments can appear politically correct.
In discussions here and elsewhere, I have noticed that quite a few
Powdered cosmetics & medicines OK?27 Aug 2006 05:39 GMT9
Is it possible to carry only powdered products (face powder, tooth
powder, rouge, powdered drink additives etc.) and then mix them with
the airline-provided water?  Even to the point of crushing one's
headache remedy tablets into powder before the flight?  Seems to me

Any advice or pointers to official info stating this is a good thing to

can one solicit miles?26 Aug 2006 06:38 GMT6
Is it allowed to solicit miles, by posting some kind of wanted miles ad
at your company? It seems airlines allow free transfer of airline miles
so I dont see how there could be anything wrong with this? How do they
know you bought the miles or had a friend transfer them?
No Liquids Policy26 Aug 2006 01:47 GMT3
Perhaps someone who has flown recently can answer this question: all
liquids/gels etc. are now banned at the security checkpoint.  But on the
secured side, can you still purchase a bottle of H2O to carry on?   Or take
an empty bottle in your carry on & fill from a water fountain? ...

7-8 months in advance mind you, AA kept telling him seats were
unavailable and kept nudging him to buy this or that leg extra either
with cash or as a separate award.
