We are looking to fly from Toronto (must be Pearson, as dropping off a car) on the 1st oct to any NY airport, returning on the 3/4 th Oct. ALL of the flights found are within £20 or so of £300 for the both of us ($630CAD or $566US)

Is it allowed to solicit miles, by posting some kind of wanted miles ad at your company? It seems airlines allow free transfer of airline miles so I dont see how there could be anything wrong with this? How do they know you bought the miles or had a friend transfer them?

Perhaps someone who has flown recently can answer this question: all liquids/gels etc. are now banned at the security checkpoint. But on the secured side, can you still purchase a bottle of H2O to carry on? Or take an empty bottle in your carry on & fill from a water fountain? ...

A friend pointed that when he tried to book a One World award with AA, 7-8 months in advance mind you, AA kept telling him seats were unavailable and kept nudging him to buy this or that leg extra either with cash or as a separate award.
