When was Advanced Seat Selection introduced?31 Oct 2006 19:00 GMT19
All the argument over BA's seat selection policy has made me
wonder when advanced seat selection was introduced?
As I recall most flights I took until about ten years ago involved
booking, paying and getting the IATA type multipart ticket;

Ryanair 'is least liked airline31 Oct 2006 12:36 GMT15
Ryanair has been voted the world's least liked airline because of cramped
seating, unfriendly staff and delays.

Online TRAP of Srilankan Airlines30 Oct 2006 21:31 GMT55
Beware the trap if you purchase your airticket online at the website of
Srilankan Airlines. They,ll send you a email as the e-ticket, condition
is come arcoss with the e-ticket, but not mentioned you have to bring
along with the credit card that you used to purchase the airticket.
"Connecting" Ryanair flights at DUB30 Oct 2006 14:09 GMT14
Am planning on booking two Ryanair flights that will involve a
'connection' at Dublin (obviously, I know this is at my own risk!).
The connection time is reasonably tight - 70 minutes - so I'd prefer
not to have to check in and go through security again. My intention is
Air France, CDG, A1 - double ptui!30 Oct 2006 12:50 GMT18
Absolute bloody nightmare going from LHR to CDG on Thursday. Flight left
45 minutes late, taxied about 25 miles to the gate (which wasn't a gate
but a bus transfer), 30 mile walk to the exit, total chaos in the queue
for taxis which had 220 people in it (not joking!), A1 motorway ...
EZY boarding group algorithm30 Oct 2006 08:04 GMT5
So, what's the rule that says which boarding group you get assigned?
We know that Internet Check-in means you get assigned the lowliest group
(D) [with maybe some scheme in the works to pay to bump yourself up].
My most recent trip with them, I checked in exactly 2 hours ahead (in
Olympic Airways29 Oct 2006 17:45 GMT2
On a trip to Greece in October of 2006 my wife and I arrived in Athens
with old fashioned paper Olympic Airlines tickets (purchased on the
Internet) for a trip to and from Santorini.  I made a special effort to
seek out the Olympic Airlines office in Athens to confirm our

KLM LHR-AMS29 Oct 2006 01:11 GMT5
I`m think about flying KLM for the 1st time instead of BA from LHR to AMS
What is their service like on this short route?
I would be checking in online then using self service kiosk and quick drop
baggage.
Manila to Phuket28 Oct 2006 15:57 GMT1
Are there any airlines apart from PAL that fly to Phuket from Manila.
From my past experiences in the Philippines, it is much cheaper to buy
a ticket in Manila for another sector rather than booking and paying
here in Aus.
USA and personal details28 Oct 2006 12:15 GMT11
Are the regulations in force for travel to the USA where they want a dossier
on every passenger including credit card details etc ? If not when will they
be enforced ?
I would have thought that fingerprints and cameras at immigration would have

Virgin Delays A-380 Order 4 Years28 Oct 2006 00:31 GMT2
LONDON, Oct 26 (Reuters) - Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic [VA.UL] said on
