Last month engine problems with a LAN Chile A340 caused a 3 am flight

Jet2 are selling free oneway flights just pay the taxes, must be bought by

Strictness of size allowances for carry on luggage?02 Nov 2006 08:38 GMT6
I want to get a bag that's 8cm over Virgin Atlantic's allowances.. It
seems such a tiny amount, and I've never had the size of my cabin bag
checked closely before. But then I haven't travelled since the new
safety measures... Has anyone noticed these things being checked more
Ryanair checked-in baggage allowance01 Nov 2006 22:23 GMT9
A few months ago Ryanair started charging a Checked-in baggage fee of
£3.50, each way, with allowance of up to £20 Kg.  Increasing their

4-7 Kg) to 20 Kg was a sweet way for them to partially cover the

I have a connecting flight beginning in one U.S. city, going into
another U.S. city and then from that city to Austria.  Will I be
required to check my bag earlier than the others on my first flight,
just because I have an international destination?  Are the baggage
Flying out and returning on the same plane01 Nov 2006 04:22 GMT15
I note that there are a lot of cheap flights where an airline flies
out, arriving at (say) 10:25am. The only departure time for the plane
is 10:50am. I presume that the plane is being turned around and the
same plane is flying back. Is it possible to fly out and then
