Around 7 or 8 years ago I went shopping in the UK and on return to my vehicle I was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage purely because the police said they had a witness who had seen me drive through a car park barrier to get in to the car park.

I flew from Darwin to Sydney with Qantas last year. This was probably the coldest flight I ever had. As soon as we were in the air, I got up to get the blanket and I still felt really cold. Only a few hours later I went on the HKG with Cathay Pacific and the cabin felt a lot warmer.

If you intended to travel to Australia: wait another 2 months. Continuous draught and excessive temps (today 38˚C just north of Sydney) make travelling/sightseeing pretty unpleasant. And the forecast for February is for unusually high temperatures.
