I'm traveling within Europe this summer and my LHR-FCO-LHR flight will
be much cheaper on Alitalia than on British Airways.  However -- the
Italian govt is looking to sell off Alitalia, and bids are due on 2
July.  Given that, what's the likelihood of strikes affecting Alitalia

I'm flying from Toronto to London (UK/Great Britian) soon, and I
recall they had a ban on all carry-on items on UK flights sometime
last year, I know they might have lifted it but I just need to be
sure..

I found that in Flight Simulator engines 9.1 and 10.0 icing is simulated
(if cold enough and a high enohgh altitude) that can make the autothrottle
go hayware. Can something like that happen in a real airplane?
But when this has happend, and the autothrottle gets confused and puts

... and on my most recent flight (Exeter to Edinburgh, on Flybe) I
discovered that shoe polish is a liquid!  At least, it is classified
as being liquid for security purposes.
