I just received an email from a travel agent regarding Star Alliance
RTW tickets:

34,000 miles will start at $4,689

I've been trying to see how changing the arrival / departure date
affects the cost of a ticket (from aa.com) and have a few questions
(all dates are 2008).
A flight from July 14th to July 17th from AUS to LHR (and vice versa)

Does anybody have a view on whether the planned BAA strikes for
7/Jan (24hrs), 14/Jan (24hrs) and 17/Jan (48hrs) will spill over
to the days before or after these days?
I'm due to fly out of LHR on 23/January to get some sun...

It's obvious to a simple-mind non-expert there is a need.
How close must it be to NYC ?
I'd guesss roughly w/in 65 miles.
The only comparison I know of is that "too damne far," "inconvenient"

According to my local Morning Blab, MaxJet has left'em stranded in every
port, its fortunes diminished to naught, flights suspended, and all those
big bidness class tickets sold but unredeemed and unredeemable(like the
fortunes of the investors).
