How to air travel for free?

Hi.  I'm meeting someone off a UA flight next week; the flight is out
of IAD and scheduled to land at LHR at 0655.
She has checked baggage, and a US passport.  Any guesses about when
she *might* be landside (I realise it's likely to be a bit random...)?

How can I get my plane type that I'm flying on also a seat plan of
that aircraft from my flight number.

American Airlines has been my airline of choice for as long as I can
remember. They no longer are. They now charge $15 for the first checked
peice of luggage!. Outrageous! This will force more people to carry on
luggage which will increase the time it will take to load passengers ...
