THE BUREAU of Immigration announced Wednesday reduced requirements on
departing Filipino tourists in a bid to eliminate corruption in the
agency.

I will be arriving in Singapore on a Wednesday in August. Is
tourism/business still down and are there many good last-minute hotel deals
to be had at the airport, or should I book in advance. Looking for a 3-4
star hotel, but wouldn't mind a 5 star if rates are good enough! (i.e. ...

I am interested in doing some voluntary work in Borneo preferably on a
conservation project.  I will raise funds as neccessary.

I like fifth floor walkups in NYC but I would like to hear about safe
places to climb beaucoup stairs - not building stairwells unless they

       I am considering travelling to Ubud, Bali, Indonesia this fall
and am curious about the current cost of accommodation, etc.  I was
there several years ago and lossmans were in the $7-$20 US range and
hotels with pools and such were $30 an up.

Anyone do any price comparisons for flights to Thailand this month? I
am going from Los Angeles to Bangkok toward the end of July, I am
seeing quotes in the upper $500/lower $600 range. A friend got a Japan
Air flight on the 28th for $595 plus tax. Seems like the cutrate fares
