I know the best way of getting a visa is to let the travel agent do it

Hi, I'm looking to visit the Taj in November and would like to get
some nice pictures.  Does anyone know if it's presently clear of
scaffolding?  More specific photography question: are tripods still
prohibited on the grounds?  Thanks.
Useless and dangerous American Express traveller's checks17 Jul 2003 16:06 GMT28
My wife is now stuck in Manila with a bunch of useless traveler's checks.
Turns out that she can't cash them even in banks, since they are refusing
them, alleging widespread counterfeiting. On calling American Express it
turns out that there is one place nearly TWO hours away where ...

atmosphere like? Having lived in Northern Ireland for over 10 years,

the net and guidebooks.
hotel recommendations for Hanoi please15 Jul 2003 08:57 GMT1
I'll be staying in or around the old quarter as I'm fairly old myself . Best
if near a bar where travellers hang out. In Ho Chi Minh I abandoned my $10
room after one night as it was a bit grim and went to a $25 own bathroom and
air con place very nice- on top of the allez boo? bar. ...
Travel in China - Maps of Guangxi Province15 Jul 2003 01:02 GMT1
In an earlier post, I was looking for information about using GPS in China.
In my search for maps of Guangxi province, I have found nothing to purchase
that would have a decent scale, say 1:10000, which would equal a little over
800 feet to the inch.   Even 1:20000 scale would be ...
