Kuala Lumpar - Where to stay?20 Aug 2003 19:12 GMT3
Can anyone reccommend anywhere cheap and comfortable to stay for 2 or 2
nights?  Must have double rooms and we would prefer somewhere where we might
meet other travellers.
Goa trip question20 Aug 2003 11:09 GMT2
A thirty-something American couple, who have to be in Delhi and Bombay
during the first 1/2 of September 2003 on a relatively short notice (as
you can see, it is August), is interested in a 3-4 day tour package of
Goa.
US Dollar De-valued In Burma...(?)19 Aug 2003 20:44 GMT5
I've heard through the Burmese "grape vine" that the US Dollar - along
with the FEC - is going to soon be de-valued, with the new foreign
currency of choice to be the Euro (or the Singapore Dollar/Japanese
Yen if both parties to a transaction agree.)  This move is supposedly
Sabah in January19 Aug 2003 19:03 GMT1
I am hoping to visit in early January but keep reading conflicting views
about the weather.  Being a Brit I really don't want to experience loads
of rain.  Would appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks
Beijing19 Aug 2003 14:31 GMT5
Next week I will be traveling to Beijing for about five days.  Any opinions
on the top three or four tourist venues?  How about overrated tourist spots?
Lastly, how about evening venues, excluding Chinese opera and acrobatics?
Thanks in advance

Everest base camp, late October - how cold?19 Aug 2003 07:18 GMT2
I get the impression that it generally fluctuates between 5 - 10C (40-50F)
by day and  -5C (25F) at night. Which means the same sort of clothes as a
Boston winter. Offset against this, I am also reading "Into thin air", a
book in which they all die from hypothermia (admittedly a few ...
Visa runs, Burma, etc19 Aug 2003 00:45 GMT1
Rumour and misinformation abound it seems re: the new visa fees. Has
anyone gone on a visa run to Burma/Myannmar lately?
I'll be leaving for Europe about 5 days after my current tourist visa
expires, then coming back for another month.  I am a US passport
Meeting Place at Singapore Changi Airport18 Aug 2003 15:21 GMT8
I was wondering if someone could tell me a good meeting place at the
Singapore Changi Airport. I will be flying into Terminal 1 and I was
wondering if visitors are allowed to go directly to the gates to pick
up passengers. If not, can someone tell me about a suitable place that

Advice for Thailand on a budget?18 Aug 2003 12:02 GMT4
I've reposted this message because of a problem with my message reader,
thanks to anyone who replied last time!..
These posts probably appear all the time but myself and 2 friends are off to
Thailand for approx. 4/5 months. We will be following the tourist trail up
Recommend a hotel in Penang?18 Aug 2003 03:56 GMT1
We'll be in Penang for a couple of nights in early October, and we'd
be interested to hear recommendations for hotels.
We're looking for a good-quality hotel (probably beachfront, but
doesn't have to be) rather than a dirt-cheap backpacker dive, though!

Borneo? and what path? I stays in a small town and never hear or see
any flight that fly over my town. Domestic flights into and out of
it..yes..
Bangkok Visit: Dec 28th - Jan 3rd17 Aug 2003 19:44 GMT4

stopped off there many times for two or three days each time en route to

Airways tickets from Phuket to Singapore and send it abroad (fedex)?
Local price is 4600 Baht o/w while the price in Denmark is about 12000
