I am going to take a 7 day tour to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou,
Shuzhou, in mid august. This will be my first time in China.  Do I
need to get shots?  Has anyone been to China recently?  Any experience
about the SARS issue?

I have given serious consideration to moving to Bangkok for a period
of at least a year.  Can someone give some thoughts on this---what
would accommodations be like (and their cost) and also the immigration
implications etc----anything else that I have yet to think of! :)
