Does anyone out there just complete a trip to Vietnam and had experience with

How easy is it to make trips to Sukhothai from CM? I will be in CM
mid-Dec with 3 friends and would like to visit Sukhothai. I assume it
requires at least one night's stay and can't be done as a day trip. Is
