I just returned from Vietnam and was amazed at the high number of tour
agencies all over and the infestation of "Botique" tour agencies trapping
some of the elite backpackers (if there is such a thing) and charging so
much more for a simple excursion.

We're thinking of going to Samui in June/July.  We've been to Phuket a
couple of times but want a change.  Any recommendations on where to stay?
We're looking for four star hotels and want to be close to the beach and
night markets (if they exist) but away from bars, night clubs etc ...

We are seniors who plan to travel to both China and IndoChina in either

I am going to stay for about one week around the 01. january
at Nakhon Si Thammarat.
