Time to transfer from PVG to SHA?27 Apr 2004 03:29 GMT3
I was planning to go to XMN via Shanghai.  Looking at schedules at

However a more careful check seems to indicate that all nonstop flights
from Shanghai to Xiamen leave from the old airport.  Not necessarily a ...
Giving gifts in Japan26 Apr 2004 23:27 GMT12
I've been offered free accommodation by a couple of people from Japan
which I've met along the way on my round-the-world trip, and I'm
probably going to take them up on it, being a budget traveller, and
enjoying company as well as staying in a local neighbourhood.

Subject more or less says it all.
Considering booking there for a week or so early July.   I do understand
that when going to places outside the island we'll have to spend the time

Tokyo Bonsai Mystery Town25 Apr 2004 19:01 GMT8
Last year in Tokyo we went to the Bonsai Museum which was fabulous.
They had some brochures there.  One was about a town outside of Tokyo,
famed for it's folkoric shtick and specifically as it was apparently
some mega-center for bonsai enthusiasts/artisans.

When travelling on a business visa through Russia, is it also possible to

for the entire stay in Russia, or should it be re-registered at every
