We are considering buying film and having our pictures developed while
in Japan, to avoid degradation due to screening X-rays. We use
Fujichrome slide film, Velvia and/or Provera. Could anyone tell me, or
provide URL's to the data, what the current cost is for 36 exposure

this year, and can't find any reasonable prices - everything seems
about $2000, which is way over what I remember hearing for this
flight.

If I get stamped into Thailand on Apr 1st at 12 noon, say, is my last
day in Thailand April 30th, or is it the 31st, provided I get out

I consider renting a car for 2 weeks in Japan, only some folks are saying
that all road signs across the country are in Japanese only. Anyone has any
experiense?

Later this spring I'll be traveling to Cambodia and Vietnam for three weeks.
I mostly plan to see the countries and enjoy the sights as a tourist, but
here's the catch-- I am a freelance writer, and often research articles on
travel or business while I visit foreign countries.

guidebooks mention the Howard Johnson Diplomat but it has apparently closed or
is leased by someone, as rooms there are not available.
