I am traveling to Japan soon and was told to buy a JR railpass enabling me
to travel around the country at minumum cost. I've done a brief search,
and wonder if the railpass does allow me to travel costless from:

I just got a fantastic deal to stay at Kuala Lumpur at a condominium just
next to the train station and is looking for a room mate (for the extra
room) up to two for a
price of only US$50/- from Friday till  Sunday nite. Any takers? Females
