Two questions for any kind soul who knows the answers:
I get into Changi at about 9.30pm (on Qantas), then fly out (on Singapore
Airlines) at 8.50 the next morning.
Can I stay at the transit hotel (inside the transit area) without entering

CAN ANYONE TELL ME FOR A SHORT VISIT OF 3 DAYS IS IT BETTER
TO GO TO HANOI OR HO CHI MIN (SAIGON)
ALSO....IN OCTOBER IS IT BETTER FOR WEATHER TO GO TO
NORTH OR SOUTH VIETNAM.

A little bird told me that you can get bus trips that tour the city that
start and end at the airport
If so this would be great as we have 6 hrs to kill whilst changing planes
anyone know anymore info on this or where i can find times etc

I will be backpacking from Vietnam to Cambodia to Laos to Thailand.
It will be my first time in Asia.  I have 3 and a half months and
$2000 USD to go travelling with after covering the cost of airtickets
from North America.

How much money would I need for one-year travel in Asia (china, SEA,
India, Nepal)? Do you thing 7000USD would be enough?

I am pulling my hair out in frustration ! Does anyone have a foolproof
way to persuade kids to take malaria tablets. We are due to go to Sri
Lanka next week and my 10 year old son has become phobic about
swallowing tablets. I have tried grinding them up and mixing with jam

is it possible to visit Halong Bay and Sapa in August or does it rain
too badly?
i heard that in the southern and central parts the rains are bearable
and it rains mostly in the evening. is that correct? (again, in August)

...i've just recently decided to do the above trip, haven't done any
research yet and maybe shouldn't be posting here at such an early stage
in my planning; nevertheless... is it feasible? can it be done cheaply?
i don't plan to spend any time in germany, frankfurt is just cheap ...

Does anyone know where in the UK exchange the above currency

Need some opinion about both trek, Annapurna Base camp and Annapurna
Circuit. I am heading to nepal this end of September but still cannot
decide which trek to take, ABC or Annapurna Circuit. Just want to know
which one provide better scenery and experience. This is my first time

Anyone familiar with Bintan Island? It is located in Indonesia, i think,
but I haven't got much information on it? Is it safe, by the way. Anyone
has any more info.?

I'm going to Nara, Japan for a business trip, but will have a couple
of evenings and one full Saturday to look around. Given that
constrained time frame what are the must sees? Also, I'd appreciate
pointers to restaurants to try also.

I've been poking around a bit in USENet and the Web, but it seems to be
difficult to find unbiased and truthful information about Myanmar. So I'll
just naively - stupidly? - ask here:
