I will have 12 days to visit Vietnam in December. What would be the
highlights (cultural, nature, cities, beaches?) and what route would you
recommend for these 12 days, starting from either Hanoi or Saigon ?

I am planning a trip to India,Rajasthan,goa, then to Thailand,
possibly down into Malaysia and a detour into Cambodia? and fly back
from either india or Thailand. Has anyone flown into India on a one
way then flown into Bangkok from Calcutta or Katmandu, then flown back

I am planning to visit South East Asia in the next few weeks and I was
wondering if somebody could tell what is the best way to travel around
the continent. I think my itinerary would look something like this
New York to Hong Kong

INDIA - You have heard that it's bad,
That there are cows on the roads,
That there is too much poverty and diseases,

Hello, I am planning to visit Phuket in Nov.  I have friends  that are
taking malaria pills from their doctor .  I have not found any
advisories for malaria in any health sites (CDC etc).  Does anyone
know whether malaria is a problem there?

Is there a website where you can find out how much a flight within Asia
costs ?
Specifically I'd like to know the price of one-way flights Kunming-BKK-
Delhi and Delhi-Singapore.

Wireddestinations offers good prices on a Bangkok hotel I may use.  Some
sort of a voucher system.  Are they reliable?  Any problems?

Is there internet availability at internet cafes in Beijing?  I was there
about 2 years ago, and the government had closed them, but I was wondering
if they are open now.  At that time, in other cities internet cafe's were
available, but not in Beijing.  Also, will it be a problem ...

Does a United States citizen need ANY kind of visa for entry to
Taipei, Taiwan for a 5 day tourist visit?  My passport is valid for 7
more years and I am not doing any business of any sort there.

Trying to decide which legs to fly and which to attempt overland on a 3.5
month trip to Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and probably a short time in Southern
Vietnam. Are there any airlines which are notably safer and more reliable
than others? I know about Myanmar but how about Laos and ...
