I have to book a ticket to India and the two options that I have are either to go thru Bangkok or thru Hongkong.. Thru Hongkong, there is a stopover of 10 hrs in Hongkong and thru Bangkok the stopover is approx 7 hours.. If I were to go see the city, any suggestions on which

We arrive in Bangkok at 12:10. We have the possibility to catch a flight onward to Chiang Mai at 13:20 Do we have to go through customs in Bangkok? Is this too tight of a transfer (flying nokair). Our other option is a 16:40 flight.
