The shore of Boeng Kak lake has been leased to developers and all the
occupants will be relocated.  This will be the end of this Phnom Penh
backpacker hangout.  If you want to see it -- the lake is very
beautiful -- then get there soon.

I'm traveling to Thailand next month and planning to hit the requisite
tourist hot spots, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket.  I see that Thai Airways
has a Discover Thailand fare that I can buy for $169.  Is that a good
deal, or should I buy the tickets once I am in Thailand?

Has anyone personally taken the 7-day trip on this train?  Any information,
impressions, suggestions or advice?  What is the dress code?

Has anyone in the UK applied for a visa via any of the online
companies offering the service. I can't find out much info on any of
the companies most have only been registered at companies house for
less than a year. I don't want to sent my passport off and never see

Any good hotel rates in Colombo for 2 week period the first part of April
2007.
I tried to book hotels there but when they find out I am not from SL they
stick the hell out of me for the rates ...anyone can give me suggestions..

I have a 4 hour layover at BOM coming up and I'd be grateful for any
tips on how best to spend the time.
