Historian wants country called 'Siam'
     A historian of Southeast Asian studies has launched a "Siam not
Thailand" campaigning, urging constitution drafters to revert to the name

anyone gone from Chendu to Tibet by train?  Any advice/info on travelling
from China to Tibet, and in Tibet would be gratefully received.  How easy is
it to get permission to do so?  Do I have to get to Beijing to get it?
