Maybe I'm premature, but better early than late.  I have a RTW air
ticket leaving LAX westwardly in May 04.  I seek info on a land
package starting in NewZealand and ending in Perth.  FYI I also need a
package in South Africa.

Can I still get on QANTAS standby with Frequent Flyer award ticket? 08 Dec 2003 12:03 GMT5
In the past, when I was unable to book the flight I wanted on a
QANTAS frequent flyer award ticket (ie free ticket using points),
I just showed up at the airport and managed to get on standby.
This wasnt official public policy, but it worked.

Help needed for my plan!! It is for 2 persons (my wife and me). Although
I have squeezed the cost, it is still awfully expensive. Any suggestion
on the locations I should visit and cost shrinking will be highly
