I'd appreciate comments/suggestions on the best options for acquiring a cell
phone for use while on vacation in NZ (for about a month)
I know some car rental firms rent phones for $3-$5/day. I've heard that
phones can also be rented at Auckland Airport, but have no info on costs.

We're planning on going to New Zealand this spring and we're thinking
of RVing.  We've RVed around the US and Canada including nearly 4
years full-timing.  For New Zealand we're still weighing the different
ways (car rental and motels vs. rail or bus passes vs. RVing -- camper

Like to know if in New Zealand foreign ATM cards must pull from one's
savings or checking account. My ATM card is set up to pull from my
savings account here in California.
Evidentially in some countries ATMs will only pull from one's checking
