My wife and I are planning to visit Aus  in 2008 for the RUGBY LEAGUE WORLD
CUP (not that imitation thing).
Yes it a long time off and the venues not yet known (but would suggest
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Newcastle).

rugby mad gather to scoff a few stubbies and watch super 12,
tri-nations, test rugby, league, aussie rules etc.

Cairns to Brisbane or I could just drive into any city/town along my way and

Kaikura is around 2 hours drive from Christchurch (south island of
NZ).
As far as I can gather it's a tourist/fishing place. It's on the
shoreline.
