1. Once I find a rental apartment in Perth to move into, how long does
it take to get a phone line + broadband internet connected and ready to
use?

I´m planning a trip to Australia. Mainly I´ll be staying in Sidney. Does
anyone know if it´s safe for tourists? Any bad experiences? Or are
warnings just urban legends? I don´t want to come back 6 feet
down-under.....

I'm moving to Perth in January and have provisionally bought a car from
a work colleague to pick up when i get there. Its a 10 year old Honda
Accord. He doesn't have a Road Worthy Certificate (RWC) although the
car apparently runs well.

Looking for suggestions for the most economical way to travel via air

to take the cash there.  We have debit cards, credit cards and money in the
savings.  Do we get travellers cheques?  or take our cards??????
