| Melbourne from the 25th to 30th of Dec... | 09 Dec 2004 08:50 GMT | 7 |
I couldn't arrange a trip to Carins during this time so my "friends" are abandoning me in Melbourne for the week. The trip is essentially last minute so I have no idea where to start and what to do. Well, I would like to *try* to surf. Gold Coast? Are car rentals reasonable?

It's mentionned in the guidebooks, but not on Queensland Travelrail's website, www.travelrail.qr.com. Is it still in service? If so, where can I find a schedule and is it covered by the Flexipass?
