My wife and I will be on the South Island of New Zealand in early March
and will be spending 1 1/2 days at Franz Josef.  During that time, we
want to do one of the heli-hikes, but have a few questions:
1) How far in advance do we need to make reservations?

Is NZ an expensive country compared to the UK or USA for tourists travelling
by bus and train and for hotels. Package tours either from the UK or
starting in NZ seem incredibly expensive. Those that seem reasonable at
first glance do not even have breakfast included in the price. ...

Are any of the large shipping services such as DHL offering options to ship
by ocean cargo instead of air freight?   I know that ocean cargo can save a
lot for a larger item, but I'm wondering if some large shipper has a service
to consolidate many customers' orders into a cargo ...

At long last I'm booking a rental car for a trip to New Zealand.  A
firm called ARF Rental Cars looks OK.  Anyone have experience with them
and could comment?

How much does accessing the internet cost from a mobile phone if I were
to buy a pay-as-you-go SIM card when Im travelling in Australia? Is
there any chance that this might be cheaper than using Internet Cafe's?
Can anyone recommend a good network?
