Queenstown to Christchurch30 Sep 2006 05:26 GMT1
I have a few weeks in NZ in mid-July next year.  At the moment I'm looking
at overnighting at Lake Tekapo whilst travelling from Queenstown to
Christchurch on Hwy 8.
Is it common for the roads to be closed around that period or would the
Air travel with a cold - any advice?28 Sep 2006 12:08 GMT4
I have heard that it is not always a good idea to travel by air when
you have a cold.
Unfortunately, I can't avoid a particular trip from Sydney to Melbourne
and return.

question regarding this NG22 Sep 2006 07:58 GMT1
just a quick question for the regulars of this group. As I'll leave NZ soon

WHV - Farm Work?20 Sep 2006 22:22 GMT1
In about two weeks I'll be going to Australia on a Working Holiday
Visa.  But I haven't booked my flight yet...  The reason is that I
don't really know what the best city for me is to fly to.  Money-wise
is doesn't really make a difference whether I'm flying to Brisbane,
cheap flights from the US to Australia19 Sep 2006 08:04 GMT4
Is anyone aware of any good deals for flights to Australia from the US
west coast? I've hunted around on the web for days and don't really
seem to be finding much outside of the standard stuff on offer from the
major airlines and web-based travel companies like TravelZoo. I'm

My wife and I will be travelling to Australia and New Zealand this

Australia Travel Article15 Sep 2006 08:36 GMT10
For an American, visiting Australia is just about the farthest place
you can go on a vacation.  Because of this, it is also usually not the
first idea that pops into your head when
deciding where to take one.  In my view, this is very unfortunate
What is Adelaide Like?14 Sep 2006 17:25 GMT18
I would like to know what Adelaide is like. Here are my questions:
1. Are there similarly diverse restaurants, stores and goods like you
find in Sydney and Brisbane?
2. Is it expensive (in general)? Much cheaper than Sydney? Cost of a
Fraser Island14 Sep 2006 05:52 GMT3
I am travelling from the UK and have my own tent & sleeping bag but no
