Is shopping good value at the moment13 Sep 2006 15:34 GMT2
About to spend a few weeks in Queensland (from UK) and will be spending
a couple of days in the Gold Coast to recover from the flight
I was wondering if shopping is value for money compared to the UK say

our new site rent-a-cloud.com gives you unique video clips on
Australian landscapes - dramatic, poetic, funny. Shot in time laps they
are alive with wandering suns, dramas in the sky and cranky clouds.
There is the most beautiful clip of the sun rising behind Sydney Opera

After 9 weeks in Australia (including bicycling the bitumen - dirt road
between Cairns and Darwin via Nathan River) I had a really negative
experience.
When I landed at LAX I took my bicycle boxes and checked them in at the

I'm going to be spending October traveling/backpacking around New
Zealand and am wondering what people think the best luggage-option is.
Would you bring (1) an internal frame camping backpack, or (2) a
rolling duffle bag?  I've always used an internal frame backpack in the

Their consul in Honolulu is not responding.
I would like to contact Chief Immigration Officer in Tarawa
Credit Cards and Pins12 Sep 2006 10:06 GMT4
Having recently been in Australia, I am wondering why I am still
unable to use my PIN with my credit card. New Zealand has had this
simple security system for a number of years, but Australians look at
you as if you have two heads if you ask them about it - the concept

as I sit here tonight trying to shake off the jet lag, I thought what the
hell lets give the low down on traveling from the US to Aussie land and
back...starting point being DFW ... very somber and to the point at security

Overland Travel - Alice Springs - Ayers Rock05 Sep 2006 07:45 GMT6
Am researching travel overland between Alice and Uluru. While searching
for info can anybody offer opinions as to car hire or travelling by bus.
I have ruled out air travel as its a bit expensive and you miss all the
scenery as well. We are travelling to Darwin on the Gahn and wish ...

things to see. We are thinking 1-2 days in Hobart, then through the
Places to Stay in Austraila?01 Sep 2006 17:31 GMT14
I am looking to stay in Australia from about December to March. I want
to experience typical Austalian living and do not want to be around
lots of tourists. I need to be in bicycling distance to supermarkets
and restaurants and I prefer to be close (20 km) to the beach. Can
