Beaches in February, Sidney or Gold coast?29 May 2007 12:26 GMT28
We would like to spend 1 week or so at a beach and would prefer an
all-inclusive tour from Corio, near Melbourne.
My wife and I are both seniors and are not looking for nightlife, but a nice
place-hotel- on the beach, but not totally isolated either.

I am looking for local rental companies in Brisbane which rent out

I am *not* looking for nationwide companies like Apollo, Britz, Maui,
etc., etc., nor for agencies which are intermediaries for such

Any tips or pointers?
A 4 week holiday -- suggestions?22 May 2007 18:15 GMT9
My family will be spending 4 - 5 weeks in Australia / New Zealand in Jan /
Feb 2008.  First time there.  We especially enjoy scenic beauty, hiking &
light backpacking, water sports, great food and wine.   That doesn't really
narrow the possibilities down too much -- so I'm looking ...
Fishing along the wetlands near to Hope Island Rd, Gold Coast, Queensland22 May 2007 14:45 GMT1
Dear Queensland fishermen,
I went fishing in a wetland area near to Hope Island Rd.  The fishing
was not so great. The state of the wetland area was a bit polluted.
Many housing estates being built or renovated are along that area. The

beaches and tides on Dunk island15 May 2007 23:40 GMT1
has anyone experienced Dunk Island's beaches at low-tide ?
I read from multiple sources (and some reputable travel guides) that
some of the beaches there can become quite muddy and even smelly when
tide is out.

Arnhemland14 May 2007 01:29 GMT2
I'm planning to travel to the Northern Territories when I'm in Oz this
August and I've spotted a 3-day tour of Kakadu that has an optional 2-
day extension in Arnhemland. The Kakadu tour is a fairly typical AUD
900 per person for a 4WD tour in a small group. The 5-day tour is a
Tiger is Entering the Oz Market14 May 2007 01:23 GMT2
They're definitely coming. I have doubts as to the viability
of three airlines here, remembering Ansett, Compass and
others. My fear would be the possible failure of Qantas
Domestic/Jetstar.
