A group of us ranging from age 19-42 are planning a vacation to PC in April,
trying to find out what resort would be best-looking for music and
activities in daytime and nightlife (disco) I was in PC in May at the Riu
it was great but looking for other ideas for the young at heart

I'm currently in the process of planning a 4-day vacation to Grand
Bahama Island. Any suggestion on whether or not to rent a car while
I'm there? I think it would make it easier to get around to where we
want to go, but to gas prices make it unreasonable to rent a car over

This is a little O/T, but we just got back from our 4th trip to Costa Rica.
My husband and I got eaten alive by bugs, the other couple hardly got
bitten.  Why? What can we do to avoid this happening again?
We all used the same insect repellant with DEETS.

Well, I have managed to narrow the field down to 3 cruises for our first
cruise in December 2004. All Western Caribbean.
Carnival Elation December 5-12
Rhapsody Of The Sea  December 5-12

First trip.   We're a couple of old goats that want comfort, good food, nice
scenery, good neighborhoods, etc.   Got money.   Islands / town / hotel ????
I've been on the computer for two hours and have little idea for folks that
want quiet comfort.   Advice appreciated.

My wife and I will be visiting the Virgin Islands for the first
time in February.  We're currently shopping for airfare.
So far, the best price I've found is around $700 from Milwaukee
to St John.

Is it not uncommon on the caribbean beaches (more specifically - Labadee,
Georgetown, Cozumel and Ocho Rios)?

I want to spend next vacation moving from one Caribbean island to another. I

We are trying to book a trip to Turks and Ciacos, on the Isle of "Provo".
Can anyone tell me if there are "cost-sensitive" places to stay/rent, budget
hotels that would cost $100-200 per night?    Everything seems to be sooooo

Just got done reading the posts here. I feel like I will be scorned asking
about staying on Cable Beach, Nassau for the Christmas week, but that is
what I am looking at for the family of 4. Was on Paradise Island 20 years
ago and had a good time. What about Cable Beach? Stuff to do? ...

We're headed back to Coz in February after a 5-year absence. The last
time we were at the Allegro on Playa San Francisco. This time we're on
our own in a little hotel on Playa Norte.
