Charities in Dominica?10 Nov 2004 19:20 GMT8
I was planning to take a combination scuba diving trip and cruise and my cruise
ship would be stopping at Dominica for about nine hours. I was planning to take
clothes that don't really fit my wardrobe these days and I expect that I'll be
through with a lot of my old togs when the ...

I was wondering if anyone could give me some info. about St.
Maarten...specifically, we are, very much, wanting to go to Grand Case and
Marigot. Our time in SM will be only a port stop from a cruiseship. I need
to know how long it takes to get to GC and how much taxi fare will be? ...

bicylcing in Caribbean: Dominican Republic or Bahamas?05 Nov 2004 17:12 GMT5
My friend and I would like to spend 10 days to two weeks in the
Carribeean on bicycle. We would like to see small (non-touristy)
towns, do some snorkeling, hiking, see historic areas, etc. We imagine
either staying at inexpensive hotels or camping.

Have had years of wonderful experiences at London House on Grand
Cayman but cannot visit there this year due to Hurricane Ivan damage.
Thinking about St. Lucia, St. Martin, Antigua or Barbados.  Looking
for white sandy beaches, 1-2 bedroom apartment or condo-style
beaches at Atlantis01 Nov 2004 18:59 GMT4
Thinking about going to the Bahamas next year.  I always hear that Atlantis
has great pools, but how is the beach area?   How does it compare to other
resorts?  This will be my second trip to the Carribbean.  Went to Aruba 2yrs
ago(stayed at the Marriott) and loved it.  I was ...
Cuba 2nd worst for press freedom01 Nov 2004 16:12 GMT8
In the interests of balance, a report out today puts Cuba 166 of 167
for press freedom.  It's ironic that if Castro had been living in a
