there any good all inclusives or packaged plans with major companies

Car Rental Costa Rica12 Feb 2005 15:53 GMT12
Two of us are heading to Costa Rica Feb 23rd. I'm wondering if it's cheaper
to book online ahead of time or wait until we get there. Does anyone have
personal knowledge of this? Also, are there any recommendations re car
rental agencies or ones to stay away from?
Skeeters and Sandflies - reply11 Feb 2005 06:54 GMT1
A rip off.  Many people, for one reason or another, do not attract "skeets,
sandflies and no-see-ums".  We travel frequently with another couple who are
immune, while we have to use the strongest deet repellent.
Do not take a chance.  Buy good repellent before you go.

from the UK to Tobago seems to be Golden Caribbean or does ...

Skeeters and sandflies08 Feb 2005 16:25 GMT2
When I was in Roatan, I met a fellow traveller from Europe.  While the rest
of us complained of many bites, she seemed to have had very few.  She showed
me this little gizmo that she carried around with her.  Here's an example:

Where are we likely to see more wildlife (birds, mammals, reptiles) at a
jungle lodge in Belize or a similar place in Costa Rica?
ATM's in the Dominican06 Feb 2005 03:09 GMT2
I have been to Mexico many times and Cuba several times and have
always been able to find a working  ATM machine, I prefer to travel
with little cash and use ATM's which give a better exchange than
vendors.

Need help finding beaches in the Caribbean05 Feb 2005 13:32 GMT7
Back in November I had the pleasure of spending 10 days at Orient Beach
on Saint Martin.  It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation but leading up
to it was a lot of headaches.  I found that it was really difficult to
find out where all the beaches are and what you can expect to find at
Cuban cigars03 Feb 2005 09:23 GMT8
Been to Aruba no less than 20 times in the last three years.  Never had
I thought about buying Cuban cigars while there.  I am not a smoker for
one.  It is also illegal bringing them back to the US.  Well, I have
been smoking in my younger days for a year or two but have since quit.
