Cell phone usage in Cuba (Cingular)11 Nov 2005 03:51 GMT2
FWIW, I've just spoken with a rep at Cingular who tells me that my cell
phone *will* work in Cuba -- I'll simply be charged at $.69 per minute,
whether I initiate a call or receive one. I was very surprised that:
a). They would even speak of service in Cuba; and

If you go to Habana, Cuba, don´t stay at the Hotel Inglaterra, because there
are thiefs and they steal  your money from your luggage.

I had been to St. John in 1997 when we stayed on the island for 4 days
before we chartered a sailboat with a crew, and we went back in the
fall for another charter.  Bob had been to the USVI courtesy of the US
Navy back around 1965.  He had movies taken from some high point.  But

A word of caution to anyone visiting the Almond Beach Village. This
hotel is normally excellent and people frequently make return visits
but it is currently experiencing problems.

at Amazon.com wasn't finding it. Well, they changed the name. Eastern is

ocenview at TB for about $200 for four days difference (about $50 a
