FWIW, I've just spoken with a rep at Cingular who tells me that my cell phone *will* work in Cuba -- I'll simply be charged at $.69 per minute, whether I initiate a call or receive one. I was very surprised that: a). They would even speak of service in Cuba; and

If you go to Habana, Cuba, don´t stay at the Hotel Inglaterra, because there are thiefs and they steal your money from your luggage. The boss and the security belong to the mafia and are sharpers!! Good luck,
