A Cruise Line Starts to Clean Up After Itself
MSC OPERA - January 22, 200530 Nov 2004 21:54 GMT15
Anyone booked on this sailing?  It's a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise out of
Ft. Lauderdale.
I'm looking forward to trying a line other than the "big boys" like
Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Princess.  MSC is relatively new to North
FLL Deli30 Nov 2004 16:48 GMT10
Well, it looks like we're not going to be able to linger on the ship too
long after our cruise ends in Ft. Lauderdale so we'll have over four
hours on our hands after we disembark.
I queried American Airlines and they informed me that we can check our
China travel30 Nov 2004 16:46 GMT5
Hi, has anyone traveled to China? Any suggestions on best way to go,
when? We'd like to go to Bejing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. I've heard
part of a trip such as this could involve a cruise on the Yantsze (sp?)
River. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
Drink the Same Water the Dinosaurs Drank!30 Nov 2004 15:51 GMT1
I received this press release from the National Maritime Museum and
thought it would be of interest.  I was fortunate enough to spend a
full day earlier this year and would encourage everyone to visit the
next time your travels take you to the London area.  If you have
NCL Dawn food review30 Nov 2004 15:09 GMT6
I reviewed everything else separately, but wanted to give food it's
own review.
First off, I love the freestyle cruising - no set times for dinner,
which is really helpful. It gave us a lot of flexibility - something

Carnival Valor Presented in Monfalcone!30 Nov 2004 04:35 GMT3
I received this press release from Fincantieri and thought it would be
of interest.  This was the big surprise.  If you have missed any of my

Unexpected upgrade on Diamond Princess30 Nov 2004 04:01 GMT9
In the middle of October I checked several travel agents for prices on
an outside cabin on the Diamond Princess for the 10-day sailing on
Dec. 29. In every case, the best I could do was book an HH-Guaranteed
outside cabin with obstructed view (view obstructed by lifeboats) on
How late can you book?29 Nov 2004 23:00 GMT10
We're trying to trade a timeshare for a land vacation with my sister, and
are having no luck. We're continuing to try until mid January for a week in
late Feb to early March.
But if we don't come up with a hit, my husband and I are considering strongly
Alaska Cruises - Royal Caribbean vs Holland America29 Nov 2004 22:29 GMT3
First I would like to thank everyone for the information I received in my
previous post.
We have narrowed it down to two cruise lines - Royal Caribbean - Hubbard
Glacier & Holland America - Glacier Bay and Tracey Arm.
Wheelchair cruisin'29 Nov 2004 19:56 GMT8
I'm planning my next cruise and have some questions about wheelchair use on
different lines. We have been on three previous cruises: Celebrity Zenith
Western Caribbean, Carnival Sensation Eastern Caribbean and Celebrity
Horizon Ultimate Caribbean (11 nights). We really enjoyed ...
Question29 Nov 2004 19:02 GMT11
We are sailing on the RCCL  Grandeur of The Seas out of NOLA on December 18.
Is it true that you can purchase a bottle of liqueur on the ship and pay
extra to take it to your cabin.
We are going to the Western Caribbean, so is it safe to say that the day
NCL Dawn Review - excluding food29 Nov 2004 16:43 GMT3
I just returned today from the NCL Dawn. Overall, an extremely
enjoyable cruise. Prior to this, I have only sailed on Celebrity.
Embarkation - my husband is in a wheelchair (quite a few health
problems, so he can't walk or stand for any long length of time). As
Itinerary idea29 Nov 2004 15:18 GMT3
you know, there's never enough time in Port to do all the activities.
WHat do people on this group think of maybe a ship spending two full
