Airline-Induced Change in Itinerary:  Is it a Problem?19 Aug 2006 04:16 GMT12
We've just been notified that our Air Canada flights out of FLL on Feb.
10 (leaving  Jewel of the Seas) have changed.  Instead of leaving at
1:25 PM, they now leave at 10:40 AM.  We've cruised in and out of FLL
before, so we know location is not a problem.  In your experience, ...
Star Princess - Antarctica19 Aug 2006 01:49 GMT1
I am interested to go on Star Princess to Antarctica & South America -
Roundtrip Buenos Aires in 2008. Anyone knows whether there will be any
landing on Antarctica in this cruise ? Is it similar to the Marco Polo
cruise ?
Alaska on RCI or HAL19 Aug 2006 01:44 GMT12
I imagine this topic has been beaten to death, but I'd like to hear new
opinions on our specific situation. We are trying to decide on the best
line for us to take to Alaska. The RCI Serenade sounds like a really
beautiful ship with lots of activities, while the HAL line sounds like
Hi everyone!19 Aug 2006 00:13 GMT17
I just wanted to say that I'm new to this group and I would like to
learn as much as I can about cruises. I took a Mediterranean cruise in
2000 and now I'm planning my next cruise, hopefully in the Caribbean.

Cruise ship fire in Cozumel????18 Aug 2006 22:51 GMT3
There was a report in rec.scuba about a fire on a cruise ship in
Cozumel in late July.  I've not seen a single word on it and assume
that his sighting of smoke on a docked ship was mistaken.
Anyone hear anything?  I'm sure a fire would have made the news.

Grand Princess aft cabin emerald deck18 Aug 2006 12:50 GMT2
Since booking e731, an aft cabin on the emerald deck on the Grand
Princess, I've read that on some Grand Class ships, these cabins are
smaller, and can have a foul odor on the balcony due to venting from the
kitchen.  Any firsthand experiences in an aft cabin on the emerald deck? ...

NCL Spirit Inside Cabin Bathrooms18 Aug 2006 01:11 GMT4
NCL's website has both cabin photographs (useless) and floorplans. The
floorplans seem to indicate a standard bathroom in the inside cabins and
NOT  the three-section set-up in other cabin categories.
I checked Google Images and WebShots, but didn't find what I was looking
Carnival Cancels Cruise!17 Aug 2006 23:00 GMT1
I have learned that the Carnival cruise on the Celebration scheduled
for August 21st has been canceled due to the damage suffered earlier
this week.  Passengers booked on the canceled sailing will receive a
full refund and 50 percent discount on a future 3 to 7 day Carnival
Meds on the plane17 Aug 2006 21:57 GMT14
Something to consider when traveling is WHERE you purchase your
medication, and keep the prescription.  We use Walgreen's and CVS for
our prescriptions, since they are pretty much national chains.  A
5 Day Bermuda Cruise...17 Aug 2006 20:09 GMT15
We have been on 7 seven day cruises but are going on our first 5 day one out of Bayonne this weekend.  Are there still two formal nights, or is it down to one? thanks in advance, mike :)
Question17 Aug 2006 17:41 GMT8
Unfortunately, next month, we have to go to an airport. We will spend the
night in a San Pedro hotel and fly(hopefully) out of LAX the next day to
Vancouver and cruise back down the coast to San Pedro. We have done this
before and usually book a shuttle from San Pedro to LAX. Our ...
