Sapphire Princess - Notes from First Time Cruisers - Apology to All20 Dec 2006 17:02 GMT17
I apologize to all.  You all have convinced me that I am wrong in my
assessment of my recent cruise experience.  I should have never booked
directly with Princess and should have used a TA.  Lessons learned.  I did
pay what I said and that is not the point.   The point was that I ...

Christmas cruise question20 Dec 2006 05:56 GMT15
My wife and I are going to be on the Enchantment OTS over Christmas this
year and I was wondering if anyone with some Christmas cruise experience
could tell me what to expect.
We have cruised 18 times with RCI in the past and 3 of those times were on
Almost Tragic Cave Rafting in Belize19 Dec 2006 16:03 GMT8
Just returned from NCL cruise which included stop in Belize.
One group did the cave raft trip
with a local group, not ship sponsored.  Water was fast and
high.  A father and 11 year old daughter were swept overboard and caught by
RCI Enchantment OTS19 Dec 2006 03:53 GMT5
The Enchantment was the smallest ship I've ever sailed.  We did a
back to back from Dec. 1st - 16th.  The seas and weather was the worst
of any cruise/land vacation.  Did the Western routes with stops in Key
West, Belize, Cozumel, Jamaica and Grand Cayman.  Also had 5 days in Ft.
Sapphire Princess - Notes from First Time Cruisers - Value for Money19 Dec 2006 01:50 GMT12
At $800/day for a small suite, you would expect a bit more than all the food
you can eat.  Actually, how much can one eat?  The cabin (B753) carpets were
worn as was the slip sheet they throw around the comforter of the bed, which
BTW was two twins they threw together to make a ...

Sapphire Princess - Notes from First Time Cruisers - Tipping18 Dec 2006 21:10 GMT13
We originally booked ourselves on a Silversea cruise that would have been
fewer days for a higher cost.  Minimally, the higher cost offsets the cost
of alcohol and 'charges' (pseudo-mandatory tipping) associated for service.
It seems the cruise line is bent on asking you to ...
Sapphire Princess - Notes from First Time Cruisers - Disembarkation Goat Rodeo18 Dec 2006 19:54 GMT4
You would think after all these decades, the cruise industry and Princess
would have this down to a science.  No, think again.  After much instruction
about how we should disembark when we arrived at Singapore, in addition to
how we should spend are last dollars, euros, you name ...
Sapphire Princess - Notes from First Time Cruisers - Alcohol18 Dec 2006 19:31 GMT7
My wife and I are not big boozers.  Our suite minibar was stocked with a few
soft drinks, mixers and a half dozen one ounce bottles of bourbon (2), gin
(2), and vodka (2).  This was included in the price of the suite.  For
entertaining, and our own consumption, we ordered ...
Sapphire Princess in Drydock18 Dec 2006 14:10 GMT3

Singapore,, can someone tell me why ?
In defense of a travel agent18 Dec 2006 04:01 GMT8
Danni and I booked MGC2007 with Peter Berlin, and, sadly, because of my
health problems, we had to cancel.
I hated to have put Peter through the exercise of dealing with a service
dog, and having to read the idiotic posts of never having cruised John
Back from Freedom, cut short18 Dec 2006 03:56 GMT1
I was supposed to sail on 12-10-06 but go to the airport in
miami and was told the ship came back sick and they were gonna clean.
We would be delayed for 2 days.  RC Treated us GREAT as they gave back
$250.00 per person and put us up in a hotel free.  Then they refunded
