I will be in San Juan for a conferece mid/late Feb 08. I'm looking to

I have been on several summer cruises, have found great deals a month
or two before.  However, about 15 family members are hoping to cruise
the week after Christmas, leaving either Dec 29 or 30 - 7 days -
Carribean.  Right now, the prices are double for that week as compared

I forgot to mention, pricing at The Clevelander and a Ocean Five are VERY
reasonable.  I'm paying $125 a night (before tax) in October.  I booked it
on their internet special.  Pricing at The Clevelander this past November
was a little less, but that'll probably change after ...

OK, I just couldn't stand it, I had to try.  I plugged in 3 stars for FLL
Beach location for $95 a night (we're staying two nights pre-cruise) and
that was rejected.  So yesterday I upped it to $120 a night for 3 stars and
they accepted the bid and gave us Sheraton Yankee Trader. ...

I cruised solo for the frist time on the Empress of the seas 2/26/07

We just booked cabins for a Xmas cruise on board the HAL Noordam and
were attributed two cabins on the Main deck just below the Queen's
lounge. Although you never know about the cabins you finally end up
with (upgrade ?)  I am a bit concerned about the noise from that
