Watching the VOTS video, with the ship pitching rolling so much brings
up a question.  Does the Captain restrict movement by the passengers
during such a rough time?  For instance, if someone wanted to go to the
Lido deck for coffee, could the do so in the elevator or stairs.  ...

Carnival has a 4 day cruise on Paradise that the first leg is from Los
Angeles to Catalina Island (a mere 22 miles away). Where does the ship go to
blow some time before arriving at Catalina? This also applies to the 5 day

We are family of two adults ad three kids : 12, 11, and 3.  We are exploring
a trip to Costa Rica.  Do we really have to buy a package?  We'd rather not
(more bang for the buck).  Any recommendations

The price WITH air was $4k, but it was inconvenient. With minor
deviation the cost went through the roof so we took over. We got
far better arrangements, but the cost for plane plus boat ride

Is there any nice. moderate priced Hotels down by the Port Of Miami.

I'm wondering if anyone knows about a website that is fairly up to
date on which rooms might be left on a particular cruise.  Something
that a person who is not a travel agent?  Just curious....

As a follow up to previous posts:
I sent my passport renewal in by regular mail on March 21.
It showed up online as being processed on April 6.  2 1/2 weeks.
It still shows as being processed, but I received them today, May 12.

I've noticed some deep discounts on the Dawn Princess
category BF balconies, but the odd thing is I can only
find FOUR category BF cabins and they are on the
Caribe deck. There appears to be cabins above and

I'm assuming a taxi, but I'm interested in knowing what options exist
and are practical.   I'm not concerned about saving a trivial $7.49
between two people, etc.

Specifically, if a company like RSVP or Atlantis were to go bankrupt
and cancels a cruise, would the paid booking and liability lie with

I regularly travel between San Francisco and San Diego?LA.  I would really
enjoy making some of these trips on a ship.
Does anyone know if such a trip is available?
