Carnival or Royal Caribbean?03 Sep 2007 03:48 GMT18
We are planning to cruise the Mexican Riviera in July 2008. We have
three options: Carnival, Royal Caribbean, or Disney. We've eliminated
Disney because of the price. We are leaning toward RCI, but I wanted
to hear from experienced cruisers, as we have never been on a cruise.
Costa Maya Estimates 6- to 8-Month Closure!03 Sep 2007 03:45 GMT13
I received word from the spokesman for Puerto Costa Maya today.  He
reports that the port will be closed for 6-8 months due to the direct
hit they suffered.  I caution that these repair estimates of time are
not always reliable.  He believes at least 50% of the pier is gone.

Guard more visible?

NCL Disembarkation02 Sep 2007 04:01 GMT2
Is it true that you can leave when you want?  It would be a treat to
sleep later, on all the other cruises we've taken the steward was
knocking on the door and telling us to vacate by 8:00 or 8:30.  It would
be nice to sleep later and leave the ship around 11:00, when it's not so ...
Civitavecchia02 Sep 2007 02:22 GMT25
Any suggestions for the best cost/labor compromise in how to get from
Rome's central rail station to the cruise ship ports in Civitavecchia?
Don't want to consider dragging luggage for a long distance at the port.
 Thanks, E.K.
Oceania's specialty restaurants02 Sep 2007 01:37 GMT1
We plan a cruise on this line.
Is there some strategy to ensure that we're not frustrated
regarding the reportedly wonderful specialty restaurants? I
would hate to go aboard and then discover that the times we
Cruise countdown.....lol.   HAL Maasdam Canada 9/8 Doc Dance, hell, Doc Lambada!!!!02 Sep 2007 00:11 GMT66

Lol....  Get me outta here!  I guess it's about 2+ weeks to go?  I
should look at the calendar.  Be here any minute.  The parental units
are excited (mom has secretly bought quite a number of new outfits
Trans Atlantic Crossing01 Sep 2007 22:00 GMT21
I have always wanted to do a Trans Atlantic crossing.
I know the two times of the year are usually in April and October when the
ships are either going to Europe or coming back for repositioning.  I
realize we will have to fly one way and take a cruise the other way.
Need Triple inside/outside Cabin on Golden Princess Nov 17 ,200701 Sep 2007 21:00 GMT3
I am desperate to find a cabin that will hold three passengers on this
sailing. Does anyone have any group space left?  I would be willing to
book and pay the full amount for it right away. Our whole family is
going and we can't seem to secure a cabin for three.
