Transatlantic crossing Oct., 200803 Oct 2007 02:10 GMT2
Looking towards Oct., 2008, my wife and I are attempting to combine a
transatlantic crossing and return with a couple of additional weeks
sandwiched in between in Tuscany and Umbria.
We prefer a NY to Rome and same return.  Any ideas?
Grandeur OTS vs HAL02 Oct 2007 23:12 GMT11
We are going on Royal Caribbean for the first time - Grandeur OTS for
a repositioning cruise.  Our last couple of cruises have been on HAL.
Other than the fact that I understand that RC doesn't have self serve
laundries, what other differences will we see?  (I don't mean things
Carnival Platinum level02 Oct 2007 22:19 GMT12
I thought I asked this question but didn't see it posted......so I'll
try again.  We have finished the required number of cruises to reach the
platinum level for past passengers.  So what does that offer us?
Thanks.
Vision of the Seas02 Oct 2007 19:24 GMT11
Changed my mind about the 4-day Carnival Pride cruise to Cabo. Now we
are booked on the Vision of the Seas 7-day Mexican Riviera cruise next
July. Any advice or opinions?
Thanks.
Carnival Corp cuts air commission02 Oct 2007 14:23 GMT65
From the FWIW department...
All Carnival Corp brands will stop paying travel agents commission on the
air portion of any reservation beginning with sales made after mid October.
My reaction... so what.  The commission they paid was negligible and the
Platinum level02 Oct 2007 13:05 GMT1
We just booked a short cruise on the Inspiration for Jan 10th.  This is
to tide us over until our biggie (13 days t/a) in April.  Besides the
price was to good to ignore.  We are now Platinum past passengers.  So
what does that buy us?  I'm guessing there are extra perks.......does
RoyalCaribbeanFan.com02 Oct 2007 05:34 GMT5
More than a few folks here have previously visited www.RoyalCaribbeanFan.com,
and the strong following the site developed early this year has lead
me to rebuild the foundation the site is based on.
I rebuilt the site under a new domain, with new message board/
Best Price Cruises02 Oct 2007 03:09 GMT7
Anyone have any experience dealing with this company online?  Their price is considerably lower for a NCL Hawaiian cruise we are considering.
Thanks!
Cape Liberty???02 Oct 2007 02:36 GMT62
Now that there are quite a few ships leaving from Cape Liberty, Bayonne must
be building up.  Are there any hotels/motels in that area now?  We're
leaving on the Azamara Journey in September and will be flying into
Newark...Also if anyone has used this port, do you remember ...

Island Star, ex-Celebrity Horizon, Evacuated Off France01 Oct 2007 18:27 GMT2
The captain of the cruise ship Island Star, which until a year ago
sailed as Celebrity's Horizon, decided to evacuate the ship after
engines failed off the coast of France and 1,476 passengers were ferried
to safety in lifeboats, according to passengers.
Norwegian?01 Oct 2007 05:59 GMT20
We are about to book our 2nd cruise.  Were in the Caribbean on Carnival
Fascination a year ago and loved it!  The trip we want is on Norwegian, but
I have heard a few bad things about NCL.  Could anyone please advise?  We
would be going on the Norwegian Spirit to Cozumel, ...
Royal Caribbean leaving Galveston?01 Oct 2007 04:51 GMT16
I have heard from two different people that RCC is pulling out of
Galveston.  One said that the current ship will be repositioned in
Spain and won't be replaced.  Another said they are leaving because
the port charges etc. are too high.  Does anyone know anything about
Pre cruise London hotels01 Oct 2007 03:57 GMT24
Any suggestions? We are looking for something within walking distance
of Buckingham Palace, etc. Currently we are tentatively at the Crown
Plaza Buckingham Gate. How is that one?
New Policies on NCL01 Oct 2007 01:03 GMT24
I recently returned from a six-day New England cruise on NCL's Norwegian
Spirit.  NCL has really "dumbed down"
lately.  Bluejeans are now welcome in all dining rooms at dinner, with the
express exception of "torn jeans."
