Cruise West Alaska 2008 question10 Oct 2007 14:47 GMT1
We are considering a Cruise West "Glacier Bay Highlights" + their Denali
package cruise in July 2008. We have a choice of adding one night to the
cruise, which apparently consists of a day in Haines. The extra day is
pricey ($1600) for a couple. Any thoughts on the wisdom of ...

Riding on the City of New Orleans, Slightly OT Review (Long)09 Oct 2007 13:26 GMT4
Here is a review of my train ride to New Orleans on Amtrak's City of New
Orleans.  I thought it might be helpful to other people who don't like to
fly.
This is a link to the words from the famous song about that train.

I received this press release from the International Longshoremen's
Association and thought it would be of interest.  If you have missed

Azamara Journey to Bermuda, September 29, 200708 Oct 2007 16:39 GMT8
Our little band of 6 (3 couples) is back from Bermuda.  We had a great
cruise, the most "laid back", restful cruise ever.  The habit of daily
naps may have to carry over into our home life.
The ship was gorgeous, the staff was the most friendly, and the service

Hey all -- finally got around to editing down the pictures.....Dad took
almost 800 pictures (he really can't frame a shot to save his life, and
not so good on focus either...) and I took about 300, so pared down 1100
pictures to 141!  And here they are:
Solo Cruisers:  How much do you tip cabin steward?08 Oct 2007 01:43 GMT15
Here is my question for people who book solo occupancy of cabins.  How do
you determine your tip for the cabin steward?  The cruise lines suggested
tips are based on a per passenger per day basis.  If you opt for
automatic tips that will be what is charged to your cruise account.

And how many have adopted that policy recently?

Why do you cruise?07 Oct 2007 22:34 GMT66
Just wondering...
What is your #1 reason for cruising, as opposed to land touring?

fear of cruising07 Oct 2007 18:43 GMT31
Most of you who post here are either veteran cruisers or are planning to be.
Once you have taken a cruise you are ready for your next one and are also a
recruiter for friends and family to join you.
This meets with varied levels of success...and I would like a little help if
RCC Caribbean Cruise- What tours to select07 Oct 2007 13:59 GMT6
We are taking a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean- (Labadee/Haiti/ Ocho Rios/Jamaica, Georgetown/GrandCayman, Cozumel/Mexico)
The RCC book offers a whole host of excursions- expensive as hell.  The onlything I like is the tour of the Mayan Ruins.
What do you folks suggest?
Here is a ...

Has anyone taken the NC voyage trip along the west coast of Norway?  My wife
is concerned about rough sea conditions in the summer.  What was your
experience?
