Airport to San Diego Terminal11 Feb 2008 17:54 GMT5
We're flying into San Diego next month to catch the Dawn Princess.
I've been told that the cruise terminal is very close to the airport
and a cab to the terminal should not be expensive.  Is that
information correct?
NOLA Hotel Suggestions11 Feb 2008 16:10 GMT8
I know that several of you have cruised from NOLA.
Can any of you suggest a hotel? I prefer to keep the price below $100 (which
research shows should be easy) I also want something either near the airport
or near the cruise terminal.
SS Independence towed to sea11 Feb 2008 13:21 GMT7
The SS Independence has been taken from San Francisco Bay, where it's
been berthed the last few years and is probably headed out to be scrapped.
I sailed on both this ship and its sister ship the SS Constitution.  And
while the ships were in pretty bad shape when I was on them, ...

The GGC2008 is over... but the memories linger on.
For starters, here is the group picture:

We had 66 people board the Adventure of the Seas.
Hawaii - Free Shuttle to NCL from Hotel?10 Feb 2008 20:26 GMT1
We are booked on the Pride of Aloha for March 15th sailing. We are
arriving the day before and need a decent hotel for 1 night. Just my
wife and I, something with a free shuttle from the airport and to the
NCL port the next day would be nice.

Costa Med Easter10 Feb 2008 18:48 GMT6

flee town Easter week and sail (once again, lol...) on the Costa
Mediterranea!  I have never been on one ship 4 times...so this is a
first (or fourth, as the case may be) for me.  Anyone else wanna go???

Three couples including my wife and I are leaving in a month for one of
the 10 day cruises with HAL on the itinerary that sails down the Baja

From reader's experiences with the ports we will visit are there any
Good Friends10 Feb 2008 02:38 GMT13
Tomorrow I get my cancerous bladder removed. Please have a good thought for
me.
Enjoy every minute of your cruises. You never know when they will come to an
end. We have cancelled 5.
Zip line in Labadee10 Feb 2008 00:02 GMT10
We'll be at Labadee on an RCCL cruise in March and I noticed that they
have added a zip line there since we'd been there.
Has anyone here done the zip line in Labadee?  I understand there is a
short line to get familiar and comfortable with it and then the main
On and off during embarkation09 Feb 2008 23:58 GMT2
Someone asked me this question, I did not know the answer. They want
to get on their ship (San Juan if that makes a difference), dump
luggage, etc., and then get back off to wander around Old San Juan. The
departure time isn't a concern, just the logistics. Anyone know?
vision of the seas09 Feb 2008 22:30 GMT4
Just returned from a seven day cruise and very dissipointed with the
quality of the food in the windjammer an dining room.  Has anyone else
noticed the quality slipping on Royal Carribean or is it just me
Fuel Surcharge ?09 Feb 2008 21:03 GMT16
Booked a cruise on phone to major travel agency that advertises on TV -
Carnival, 4 night to Mexico in mid April. Final price was about $85 per
person higher than expected. When I asked the difference I was told that the
fuel surcharge was that much. Thinking about it now ...
Things that have ceased to exist on a cruise09 Feb 2008 13:55 GMT61
While on the GGC2008 last week, a bunch of us were talking about things that
used to happen or things that you used to get while on a cruise years ago...
but not any more.
Examples.... decks of playing cards used to be in every cabin.  Wine
Transportation to San Pedro from LAX09 Feb 2008 13:31 GMT4
On March 2nd we will be flying out to LAX to board the Crystal Symphony the
next day in San Pedro. We have overnight reservations at the Crown Plaza in
San Pedro. The transportation possibilities from LAX are so confusing that I
haven't yet figured out how you are supposed to get ...
