According to this article, Carnival Cruise Line has announced that it has
cut back their direct booking department and will put more emphasis on
selling through travel agents.  It seems they get lower costs and better

I am going on the Mariner in Dec. I am also going to do my first formal

Online ticket booking seems to have killed off the role of travel agents in
airline flight bookings.  The remaining ticket agents seem to be using
essentially the same booking mechanisms as the DIY process (Orbitz, Sabre,
etc )  Any suggestions as to how one sets up something that ...
