there? Would early November be a reasonable time to enjoy it?

Has anybody stayed at or know of the Sonesta Relais Villa Tavolese?  It's in
Marcialla, but I can't seem to find any info about it.  Is there anything to
do there, on an evening when we don't feel like driving to Siena or

shoestring, and don't know the first thing about getting a good deal. I'm
flying out of Boston and intend to go to Berlin, but if the fares are
better to some place close (like Amsterdam), I might fly there ...

Rail service disruption due to heat???13 Aug 2003 17:13 GMT5
Is this true?  Rail service is disrupted because of the heat?  Seems far
fetched, but I was told this by someone who just returned from London.
She said that the heat and friction of the wheels on the rails was
causing rails to ....melt.  Yes - melt the steel.

rec.travel.europe is a good newsgroup. I have learned much from it, have
taken part in several very interesting discussions, and, I hope, have
been able to give some help when a poster has asked about places I know
well.
