I'm considering a train journey in Germany, and the Die Bahn web site is
giving connection times of 5 to 10 minutes between trains. I wouldn't even
consider this in the UK - I suspect that the German railways are rather more
reliable, but are they this reliable in practice?

       My wife and I would like tg spend a week in the Lake Country of
Italy -- we hear the town with the Rockerfeller summer instite is pretty
but is very small and might be terribly expensive  --, or Lugano,
Switzerland, -- we have heard that is pretty -- but we have no idea of

Can anyone tell me which of these cities would be the best to visit
next week? I'll be in Frankfurt for a few days and then want to try
one of these two places.
I'm not into museums especially and since the temperature looks like

Traveling by auto in Germany in September 2003.  Interested in companies on
the Internet for sailing times for short trips on the Elbe in-and-out of
Hamburg.  Thanks in advance for any info.

We are planning a ski vacation in Zermatt next winter.  Want a hotel with
alpine character. Does not need to be top tier... just authentic and friendly.
No brocade. Stayed in Wengen last year at the Alpenrose. Loved it. Need
equivalent in Zermatt.
