One-way Car Rental from Barcelona to Biarritz, France?16 Sep 2003 05:50 GMT2
I'm getting slammed on drop-charges on a car hire from Barcelona, dropping
off in Biarritz.
Anyone have any suggestions of companies/methods of doing such a rental with
less than the 500 EUR drop-off charge?

November Visit16 Sep 2003 02:35 GMT1
We will be visiting London in November (4-8) and would appreciate any advice on
activities at that time.  Good theatre?  Good tours?  Special events at that
time? Thanks very much Jack San Jose CA

Men's attire in London and Paris16 Sep 2003 02:27 GMT58
In mid-October, our travel plans include a week in London and a week
in Paris.  My 45 year old husband tends to dress like he's in college,
which works in Southern California.  However, he would like to blend
in without looking like a senior citizen of course.  So, would the

England:  Guided versus self-guided?15 Sep 2003 23:46 GMT23
My cousin and I (two 30-ish women) are going with our mothers
from the U.S. to England for the first time for about two weeks
and taking the Eurostar to Paris for a couple of days as well.
This trip will probably take place in May 2004.

How much luggage is too much on the Underground?15 Sep 2003 22:52 GMT13
Now that I've found out how to get out of the London Underground, I
better find out whether I can get or stay on! I'll be coming from
Heathrow Airport on the Picadilly Line with 2 suitcases and a small
carry-on bag. Is that too much to put on the underground car--or to

Venice Hotel Recommendations?15 Sep 2003 22:03 GMT6
Next month my wife & I return to Venice for the first time in more than
20 years. We'd like comfortable, centrally located accomodations,
preferably with a nice view - hopefully for less than 200 euros a night.
Any suggestions as to "best value" would be appreciated. Thanks in

I'm looking for the URL for the city of Paris where you enter an address and

Internet Cafe near Ecole Militaire and Rue Cler15 Sep 2003 21:20 GMT2
Does anyone know of an internet cafe near these two places, esp.  the
Rue Cler?
Also, trying to find a large bookstore near Rue Cler that would have
pocket-sized translation guides (ie, berlitz), and have they quit

Winter Holiday tour - Vienna, Prague, and Budapest15 Sep 2003 17:51 GMT4
I'm planning to join an organized (Insight Tour) Winter Holiday Tour in
Vienna, Prague, and Budapest.  Has anyone tried this tour or any other
winter holiday tours before?  Basically, the group will be spending
Christmas Eve in Prague and Christmas Day in Budapest.  I'm just trying ...
